Browse Tucker People Directories

Tucker people directories cover several different kinds of identity. City and school listings connect names with public roles. Property, deed, business, and license indexes tie a person to an official filing or address. Library and archive collections preserve residents and firms from decades before Tucker became a city. To browse Tucker directories well, choose a source that fits the relationship being tested, then retain its date and role. A staff entry is a current work contact, an owner listing is not proof of occupancy, and a historic directory is only a snapshot of one publication year.

Tucker People Directory Coverage

No single Tucker directory lists everyone. Official people directories instead document a defined link: a city role, school assignment, state payment, professional credential, business filing, parcel, deed, or historic address. The table separates current contact sources from records that behave like directories. It also shows which keeper can explain an entry.

Start with the narrowest relationship. Search city staff for a Tucker official, the school directory for a campus role, and appraisal records for an owner of record. A license or corporation index verifies a formal status. For a person tied to Tucker before city incorporation, the library and history center are much stronger than a current city list.

Search Tucker's Staff Directory

The Tucker staff table filters any visible column. It also sorts names and roles and can print, copy, or export the visible table to Excel or CSV. The list includes both city staff and council members, so always retain the title. Bonnie Warne's inspected entry, for example, showed “Warne, CMC,” City Clerk, and an official city email.

The visible search and export controls make this more useful than a static roster, but each role still needs a current-date check.

Tucker Government Directory Entries

A public staff directory supplies institutional contact data, not a personal profile. Tucker's table shows name, title, and official email. Department pages can add a main or direct phone. Council and board rosters record elected or appointed civic roles. If a name is absent, call the department or ask the City Clerk for the office that performs the function.

Open Georgia adds state fiscal and payroll records by name and agency. It should not be called a statewide contact phone book. The distinction matters because a payment row verifies a fiscal record, not a current phone or office. The official portal is visible below.

Use its agency and fiscal context to separate same-name results before seeking an institutional contact elsewhere.

Tucker School Directory Search

The DeKalb County School District directory supports optional first and last names plus a Department filter. Choose Faculty & Staff and narrow to a school or office. The inspected directory displayed about 19,010 constituents, so a surname alone can be far too broad. Tucker High and Tucker Middle appear in the district roster.

Entries show a name, title, and sometimes a school phone. The inspected Farrar Abbott record listed Teacher Grade 4 and a school number. Preserve preferred names, punctuation, compound surnames, and diacritics. If no result appears, try surname components separately, then pair the match with campus and role.

District context explains the need for careful filters. DCSD reports more than 92,000 students, 138 schools and centers, and about 14,000 employees across a community using many languages. Those are district-wide figures, not Tucker-only counts. They make a campus or department filter far more reliable than an exact-name-only query.

Georgia Tech's regional faculty and staff directory can help with metro Atlanta institutional contacts, though Tucker does not have a verified university campus of its own.

The regional label keeps this university source in context and avoids implying that every result has a Tucker connection.

Tucker Property Owner Directories

The DeKalb Property Appraisal search accepts owner name, address, or parcel ID. A profile may show the assessed owner, separate mailing and situs addresses, parcel ID, values, exemptions, characteristics, transfers, and permit-derived updates. “Situs” means the physical parcel location. The mailing address is where tax correspondence goes.

This directory identifies an owner of record, not an occupant. A trust, estate, entity, or absentee owner may appear. For a time-based trail, add tax-sale history and the deed-party index. Landmark records grantors and grantees by instrument and date, while GIS can supply a current deed book and page. The full access-law and copy process belongs with Tucker public records.

Tucker License and Business Directories

Georgia professional license verification can search name, profession, license number, business, city, state, ZIP, and status. Results commonly show the licensee, profession, number, standing, issue and expiration dates, and public board orders when available. Separate systems cover physicians, nurses, attorneys, real-estate professionals, and educator credentials, so no single directory is exhaustive.

The Georgia corporation search accepts business name, control number, registered agent, officer, or designated agent. Results link people to an entity and address of record. An agent is not necessarily an owner or someone found at that address today. Tucker occupational-tax files add owner, on-site contact, parcel, DBA, and mailing fields when requested from the city.

Historical Tucker People Directories

The Decatur Library local-history collection holds city directories dating to 1928 at its second-floor Reference Desk. It also offers census microfilm from 1820 through 1920, early newspapers, Sanborn maps, and Georgia death, marriage, divorce, and cemetery indexes in microform or on CD. Some sources must be used in the library.

Tucker Directory History Before 2016

DeKalb County was created in 1822. Tucker remained an unincorporated community until city operations began in 2016. As a result, older Tucker people directories may use DeKalb, Atlanta-area, or community labels rather than a city-government heading. The DeKalb History Center holds one 1939 DeKalb directory and five Tucker/Stone Mountain volumes, with Atlanta-area volumes filling other years.

Directory year
A snapshot of the names and addresses printed for that edition.
Reverse directory
An address-first arrangement used to identify listed occupants, where a volume actually supports it.
Cross-check
A second source, such as a deed, census, obituary, or newspaper, used to test the directory match.

Exact reverse or criss-cross coverage was not verified, so inspect the physical volume before promising address-first searching. Local runs such as Tucker Times, Tucker Days, Smoke Signals, and Up Close & Personal in Tucker can fill gaps with obituaries, civic notices, and business mentions.

Tucker Cemetery Name Directories

Small cemetery indexes can preserve a family name that is absent from a printed directory. DeKalb History Center records pair cemetery codes with locality, land lot, district, and preservation notes. Examples include Cochran Family Cemetery near Chamblee Tucker Road and Menlo Drive, Dabney-Shumate on Cooledge Road, and Gresham Family Cemetery between Henderson Mill and Old Chamblee Tucker.

Combine the family name and land-lot reference with deeds, plats, and newspapers. A cemetery directory is a discovery source, not permission to enter private land. The History Center's name-indexed biographical files can add clippings, obituaries, notes, manuscripts, and photographs, but some require an archive appointment.

Limits of Tucker People Directories

No official Tucker-wide public directory was found for neighborhoods, congregations, alumni, unions, fraternal groups, or civic clubs. Many such lists are private by design. No authoritative modern carrier white-pages run or exact local reverse-phone collection was confirmed either. Use public board rosters and archive collections without implying that private memberships are open.

Every directory has a scope. A disconnected phone may be reassigned. A historic entry can omit family members under old publication customs. A license can expire, and an official can change roles. Record the source and date, retain the exact displayed role, and confirm a key identity through a second official source.

Public-record directories also describe events rather than a complete life. A deed index shows a party to an instrument. A corporation record shows an officer or registered agent of record. A cemetery index points to a burial source. Keeping those roles intact prevents two people with the same name from being merged and makes each Tucker directory useful on its own terms.

When two entries may describe the same person, compare the date, address, role, and keeper before joining them.
